Compassion Sunday

EXTENDED TILL AUGUST 23, SUNDAY MORNING, FPC MAIN LOBBY

What can happen when one person chooses to invest in the life of one child? On Sunday morning, August 23, First Prez will celebrate an extension of Compassion Sunday—a special opportunity to learn how child sponsorship is helping release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.

Stop by the FPC Main Lobby and look through the child sponsorship packets we’re making available. You will have the opportunity to sponsor a child from Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Rwanda, and Tanzania among others.

Through Compassion International, sponsors come alongside children through the ministry of local churches in their own communities. Sponsorship helps children receive practical care, encouragement, opportunities to learn and grow, and, most importantly, the chance to experience the love and hope of Jesus.

Perhaps God is inviting you or your family to sponsor a child for the first time. Or, if you already sponsor, perhaps there is room in your heart and budget to welcome one more child into your life.

If you’re unavailable to be at our Koʻolau campus, please consider sponsoring a child online. Click the link below to see the sponsorships Compassion selected specifically for First Prez.
