Climbing Kit

Every climb needs the right gear.

There are many resources available to help us climb our vision mountains, but here are three core tools we come back to often. They help us stay equipped, empowered, and growing in fitness to live out our mission and vision with our values.

  • Action Plan (Transformation & Restoration)

  • Dogpile (Group Brainstorming & Prioritization)

  • Mountain Climbing Checklist (Alignment & Timing)

Our Vision

That by 2030… As a Christ-centered, diverse, and intergenerational community, FPC Hawaii will be and see:

  • A hub of healing for broken hearts, spirits, minds, and bodies—confirmed by hundreds of testimonies.

  • Everyone in our church ‘ohana learning from and investing in new generations, taking new steps with Jesus together.

  • Everyone in our church ‘ohana serving our local communities and beyond.

- Transformation & Restoration -

Who is God shaping me to become, and how will I grow into that?

This action plan design is a tool to help you grow and make real changes in your everyday life. It helps you name what steps you’ll take—with God, with others, with truth, and in real situations. Use it to get clear on who you want to become and how you’ll start living that out.

Action Plan

- Brainstorming & Prioritization -

What do we see together that we might not see alone?

“DOGPILE”

Brainstorm

Dogpile!

The Dogpile is a brainstorming method where everyone first generates ideas individually, then comes together to share and build a collective list.

Prioritization (1/2)

Score Card

The Score Card organizes Dogpile ideas into actionable steps and allows participants to rank them using a point system.

Prioritization (2/2)

Score Board

The Score Board collects and tallies points from individual Score Cards, allowing the ideas with the most points to surface.

- Alignment & Timing -

Would this activity help us climb our mountains, or just keep busy at basecamp?

Mountain Climbing Checklist

The Mountain Climbing Checklist helps you discern if a ministry idea, plan, or activity is helping you move toward the church’s vision. We’ve set our vision mountains through 2030, and this tool helps us stay focused on the climb—avoiding distractions or unintentional detours. Use it to reflect, realign, or get unstuck.
