Administrative Assistant

Essential Abilities, Duties, and Responsibilities
A Christian who demonstrates courteous and Christ-like attitude and conduct in dealing with people. Must have the highest standards of customer service: friendly demeanor, welcoming and helpful attitude, presentable appearance, and exceptional interpersonal skills. Attention to detail.

Must be proactive with high accountability that supports the growth and capacity of their leaders. Seeking life-long learners.

Must be proficient in typing and word processing, with specific proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with Macintosh computers desired; ability to learn to use Macintosh computers is essential.  Comfortable learning new skills, software and programs.

Assistant to Directors of Ministries 
Provide support as requested for above ministries, their directors, staff, and their volunteer leaders, including but not limited to:

  • Review Calendar of events- communicate with directors to notify upcoming events and tasks.

  • Childcare request forms and coordinating details with the children’s ministry childcare coordinator.

  • Create and Maintain database registration event activity, event description, online signups, tracking weekly registrations and post-attendance stats.

  • Prepare Sunday table materials for registrations, payment envelopes and other supplies.

  • Preparing deposits, processing payments and reimbursements, credit card statements.

  • Creating and producing documents, flyers, signs/posters, nametags.

  • Making copies.

  • Assist with room requests and set ups for events.

  • Maintaining group databases that are integrated with the Church database.

  • Digital and hard-copy mailings, to include mailing creation, formatting, and editing.

  • Maintain accurate bulletin announcements, including website, facebook pages to make sure all information is current and accurate.

  • Running background checks on staff and volunteers as required

  • Other duties as assigned.
