Coral Creek Golf Tournament Recap
Well,
what can I say….my good friend John tells me it is the best
score he has ever recorded, my good friend Jay shoots a sub 80 round,
and my good friend Suzie aces me out of the 3rd place money, so I
guess it doesn’t PAY to have such good friends, all of whom
were in Group 4. Congrats to all. John started his round with a closest
to the pin shot and converted it into a birdie on Hole 10.

Ewa Beach Golf Tournament Recap
Aloha to our 2007 Player of the Year Howard Ashford as he embarks on a
calling to pastor a Methodist Church in Inglewood, California. Not only
did Howard win this tournament, he carded 2 birdies and won a closest to
the pin contest. Howard has blessed our PGA group and will be missed. Jim
Hickerson, also carded 2 birdies and quietly finished second for the 3rd
month in a row. The course yielded 10 birdies, I think that is a record
for our group.

Mililani Golf Tournament Recap
While many of our members were busy helping host the Presbytery Meeting
at FPC, others managed to enjoy the beauty and the challenges of Mililani
Golf Course. My group was so affirming with their comments on how successful
I could be writing a book on “Trouble shots for Dummies”. I
found myself hitting shots off of tree roots, under tree limbs, out of
sand traps, up against tree trunks, etc…..much to the entertainment
of my friends Bill Sheehan, Jay Jarman and John Frauens. My friend Jay
also thought he was so clever by parking his golf cart over my ball which
was in the fairway and thinking I would not know where my ball was. However,
I was aware of his little trick and snuck up on him and gently placed a
club handle in his ear from behind the cart while he was trying to act
so innocent. You should have seen him jump. I hope the rest of you had
as fun day as I did.
Low net: John Frauens, 69; 5th time winner.
2nd Place net: Jim Hickerson, 71, won via tie breaker on second hole.
3rd Place net: Leighton Miyakawa, 71.
Low gross: Dave Thibault, 83.
Other top 10 finishers were; Marcia Titcomb; Jay Jarman; Mike Mathieu;
Suzie Pearce; Jo Miyakawa; John Ellis; Bruce Patterson.

Confessions
To celebrate their 50th anniversary, a husband booked a round of golf for
his wife and himself on a trip to famous old St. Andrews' Golf Course in
Scotland.
On the third tee, the husband hesitated in teeing off and turned slowly
to his wife and said contritely, 'Darling, I have to confess something.
Twenty years ago I had a brief affair. It meant nothing. I hope you can
forgive me.'
His wife was hurt but said, 'Dearest, those days are long gone. What
we have now is far more valuable. I forgive you.'
They embraced and kissed.
On the seventeenth tee, the husband was starting his back swing when
the wife blurted out, 'I'm sorry, darling, I've been so conscience-stricken
since you told me, but since we're being honest with each other, I have
something to tell you also. Fifty-two years ago I had a sex change operation;
I was a man before I met you. I hope you can forgive me.
The husband, froze at the top of his back swing, then threw a fit! He
slammed the driver into the ground, kicked the ball into the woods, stormed
off the tee, pushed the golf cart over on its side, broke the rest of
his clubs one by one, then started on his wife's clubs.
He screamed and ranted, 'You liar...you cheat ... you despicable deceiver!
How could you? I trusted you with all my heart and soul...and all these
years you've been playing off the ladies' tees?!'

Waikele Golf Tournament Recap
At
the last minute Kenny Roberts stepped up to run this tournament due to
my stomach flu incident. I understand the tournament was enjoyed by all.
It was Bill Sheehan Day at Waikele, as you can see below. Bill’s
busy schedule doesn’t let him play with us as often as he would like
but his golf game remains stellar with his 10 handicap. Carol Ellis and
John Muller were chasing close behind with net 73 and 74 respectively.
Both Carol & John have placed in the top 10 in all 4 tournaments this
year.

4/19/08 Royal Kunia Golf Tournament Recap
Once
again Kenny Roberts stepped up to run this tournament right from the early
stages and he had over 30 players confirmed at one time. This was such
a tremendous help to me. THANKS again Mr. Roberts. The final count ended
up being 26 and we had some real low net scores. The ladies did well capturing
4 of the top 10 finishes and taking 2 closest to the pin awards. Jim Hickerson
was in Group 1; he turned in a net 64 which looked pretty tough to beat
and of course he left before the rest of us could give him grief over his
score. However, in Group 7 our last group, Marcia Titcomb stole Jim’s
glory with a net 63 which captured 1st place and knocked Jim into 2nd.
The ladies were not done as Lee Bassett also had a wonderful round of net
65.
Low net: Marcia Titcomb, 63, way to go Marcia.
2nd Place net: Jim Hickerson, 64.
3rd Place net: Lee Bassett, 65
Low gross: Jim Hickerson, 84, this was the only gross score in the 80’s.
Other top 10 finishers were; Jim Becker; Brad Bassett; Suzie Pearce; Carol
Ellis; John Muller; Bruce Patterson; Gary Harms.
CTP’s: Anita Rhee, 5 & 13; John Frauens, 8; Howard Ashford, 17.
Birdies: John Muller, 1 & 12; Jim Hickerson, 6; Howard Ashford, 17.

Pearl CC Golf Tournament Recap
Pearl
CC offered up a challenging course with deep rough and narrower than
usual fairways. I understand this was the way Pearl set up the course
for a recent Pro Am tournament. Play went a bit long because it was
difficult to find balls that were off the fairway and well buried
in the rough. Nevertheless, it was another blessed and beautiful
day of golf. Brother John Ball came through with the best round of
the day. This is John’s
4th PGA victory as a charter member of the PGA. Our newest member
Suzie Pearce showed up with a good round and took 2nd place, netting
a 71 in her 2nd round with the PGA. And 3rd place went to Jim Becker
shooting his handicap and netting a 72.
Low
net: John Ball, 70.
2nd Place net: Suzie Pearce, 71.
3rd Place net: Jim Becker, 72.
Low gross: David Thibeault, 83.
Other top 10 finishers were; Tom Stirling; Carol Ellis; John Muller;
John Ellis; Gary Harms; Jack Bohman; Bruce Patterson
CTP’s: Lee Bassett, 3; Norm Black, 6; Jack Bohman, 13; Tom Stirling,
16; (on a side note, 2 of our guests hit wonderfully close tee shots
on holes 6 (Kristeen) & 16 (Michele). Michele was less than 3 feet
away and did make birdie; Kristeen was about 5 feet out.

Hawaii Kai Golf Tournament Recap/Banquet Recap
We
began our 6th year with the largest turnout ever, 33 players. And miraculously,
the Lord rewrote the prescribed rainy, windy forecast to a beautiful sunny,
mild golfing day, THANK YOU LORD. It was a busy day starting with golf
and ending with a banquet of delicious food, putting contests, genuine
fellowship and more. Much appreciation goes to Ted Otaguro for his excellent
provision of menu, catering services and room arrangement. Also to Koolau
Golf Club Director, Monica, who kindly donated 2 golf certificates good
for 2 rounds of golf each. Winner of the PGA member putting contest, Tom
Stirling, captured one golf certificate by holing both his putts. The second
certificate was given to random seat winner Terri Ashford, wife of our
5th PGA Player of the Year, Howard Ashford. In theory, Terri is to hand
over the certificate to Howard. Our Birdie Man was Jay Jarman with lucky
7’s, carding 7 birdies in seven tournaments in 2007. Tom Stirling,
Tom Howes and Doug Auten all had 4 birdies as Jay’s closest birdie
friends. It was also announced at the banquet that we collected and distributed
$3,460 to our charities, a 22% increase over 2006, WAY TO GO PGA FAITHFUL.
And finally, what can I say that will express my gratitude for the continual
recognition you show me. I understand, from your contributions Ted brought
back the Denver Bronco jacket and cap from one of his trips to the mainland.
I treasure both as a die hard Bronco fan, and what makes it so special
is that I probably would never spend the money because I am such a cheapskate.
THANK YOU, I LOVE YOU ALL.

Mililani Golf Tournament Recap
A
wonderful group of 20 were able to play this past Saturday in spite of
the Christmas frenzy all around. We had some misting but in general the
weather was cool and quite comfortable. When all the scores were turned
in we had our first 3 time winner in one year, Mr. Personality himself,
always smiling and loving the game of golf, Howard Ashford. Howard
netted a 68 winning both tournaments played at Mililani this year along
with his victory along with his victory in July at Luana Hills. He is working
hard on his humility; feel free to help him with this difficult challenge.
Second place went to Leighton Miyakawa netting a 71 and third place via
a tie breaker was John Frauens edging out Vic Copeland. I had the privilege
of playing with some great putters, Doug made several putts in excess of
6 feet including a 25 footer on #3 and around a 10 footer on #7; young
Luke Auten dropped a 10 footer on 4; and Marcia Titcomb sank a 15 footer
on #2.
Low gross: Howard Ashford, 85.
Other top 10 finishers were; Doug Auten; Jay Jarman; John Ball; Ted Otaguro;
Marcia Titcomb; Bruce Patterson.
CTP’s: Howard Ashford, 3 & 6; Doug Auten, 12; Ted Otaguro, 16.

take you off the distribution list. Thank You.
Just an update regarding the fantastic Karaoke party hosted by Anita Rhee
and her mom Soo for about 15 of us; We were greeted with a beautiful full
moon rising above Koko Head Crater, gourmet food including a Jumbo shrimp
with a crusted batter that actually took 2 days to prepare, and assorted
beverages and deserts. Once all fattened up everyone really got into the
karaoke spirit. It did not take long to recognize where the hidden musical
talents belonged to, beautiful Hyon Weber nailed several English and Korean
songs with style and grace and she was matched with several songs by Mike
Mathieu demonstrating a huge range in his singing capability, including
a very real and raspy Louie Armstrong song. A great time was had by all
and a BIG THANK YOU to Anita for her gracious hospitality and all this
was prepared after playing 18 hole of golf. I did take some pics of the
singing but later realized my memory card was full and they did not turn
out. Oh well, I got the food.

Coral Creek Golf Tournament Recap
Coral Creek
produced some low scores with the top 10 all shooting net par or better.
Marcia Titcomb playing in group one posted an early lead with her net
68; then Jay Jarman posted another 68 in group three; Then group four’s Doug Auten came in with
a net 65; but even lower yet, group five’s John Ellis, last months tournament
champ, posted a net 64; But lo and behold our final group, group eight
came in with the lowest net, a net 63 posted by Ron Lee. Congratulations
Ron, great effort. Ron came to FPC as a pastoral intern for 3 months.
He played all three tournaments while here and proved he is a man of
many talents. We wish him well as he returns home to North Carolina.

Makaha Valley Golf Tournament Recap
Despite
the horrible brush fire in Makaha Valley reported Friday evening I did not receive
one call to see if we would be playing Saturday morning. Thirty three committed
players checked in right on schedule. The fire was still smoldering while we
played. Helicopters were dropping water continuously; however we were not bothered
by the nearby smoke. There were 8 scores of Par or better but the course basically
played tough. When the PGA smoke cleared we had one clear winner and 3 tied (Gary
Harms, John Ball and Mike Mathieu) for second place with net 71’s. Our
tournament champion this month is John Ellis who recently joined the PGA with
his wife Carol. Congratulations John on your net 69. Second and third place went
to Gary Harms and John Ball respectively via the tie breaker. Honorable mention
goes to Mike Mathieu.
Notable events: Howard Ashford mentioned sinking a 40 foot putt and is offering
to share his new putting secrets with anyone interested; Doug Auten landed his
second shot on the green at the Par 5 18th and was putting for eagle, but settled
for a birdie, well done Doug, that is a tough hole.
Low gross: Jay Jarman, 84.
Other top 10 finishers were; Mike Mathieu; Jay Jarman, Ted Otaguro, Howard Ashford;
Carol Ellis; Doug Auten and Vic Copeland.

Waikele Golf Tournament Recap
With
30 players we once again hit our peak for largest turnout and again were blessed
with 8 guests; some are becoming PGA members. Pictured above is our winner by
a 5 stroke margin, the only player to shoot under par for the day with a net
70, Flash Jay Jarman. Jay wore a shirt that glimmered in the sun, not the white
shirt he is wearing above. Jay’s last PGA victory came in August 2003 on
his second outing with the PGA at Hawaii Country Club aka Kunia; he shot a Gross
79, had 4 birdies which I witnessed being in his group. Jay is still complaining
his handicap was ruined by the fluke round. Stop complaining Jay and accept the
fact that you are a good golfer. Second place went to new PGA member, Mike Mathieu
with his net 75, Mike played in the Koolau scramble last month and is Ron Mathieu’s
better looking brother. Third place via tie breaker went to one of UH football’s
most loyal fans, Tom Stirling, with a net 76. Sorry Ty Aldinger.
Other top 10 finishers were; Ted Otaguro; new PGA member John Muller; Bruce Patterson;
Jim Hickerson; & Gary Harms.
CTP’s: Ty Aldinger,5; Flash Jay Jarman, 8; Jim Hickerson, 11; Tom Stirling,
17.
Birdies: Ty Aldinger, 7; Jay Jarman, 8; Tom Stirling, 14.
Guests: Soo Moon, Anita’s mom visiting from Korea; Ron Lee, FPC intern
and new PGA member; Commodore Dell Epperson, Ty Aldinger’s guest; Dell
also played in the Koolau Scramble last month; Mike McGaraghan, retired Navy,
guest of Ty Aldinger; Kelly Brezina, guest of Ty Young, I played with Kelly and
saw him hole a nice chip shot; new PGA member John Muller; and new FPC members
and contemplating PGA members, John & Carol Ellis.

Koolau Golf Tournament Recap
My apologies for getting this report out so late, been
kind of busy. Really need sign ups for next month ASAP, because I am
going to be off island and out of the office from 8/31 thru 9/4 and our
tournament is on the 8th. Please respond before I depart so I can adjust
my tee times with Waikele based on our signups.
The picture above is our glory to God in prayer prior to setting off on the course.
Hey, will it ever get any better than this. Forty eight players in a 4 person
team scramble tournament and the most beautiful setting and day for golf. We
were blessed to have several guests, which are named below. We were blessed by
Brother Jay Jarman, who arrived early and placed 18 golf balls for general use
on a tee box for every hole, which calculates to 324 golf balls. Some of those
egg cartons were empty by the time our group got there, so big thanks to Jay.
My thanks to Buddy Gendrano for bringing his 3 friends; Buddy requested to play
with the PGA but not compete in the tournament so he and his friends could play
together. They played individual scores and Buddy scored a gross 88 including
a 25 birdie putt on the 6th hole and a chip in birdie from the sand trap on the
12th hole. Nicely done Buddy.
In a perfect world I would have gotten a picture of each team, but due to circumstances
it just did not happen. Part of the problem was our inaccessibility to get seated
for after golf lunch at Honey’s due to a couple of bus loads of tourists
being served. Many players left to avoid the confusion and the lack of seating
available. I did receive a call from the course apologizing for the situation
and a promise that such a problem will never happen if and when we schedule a
next tournament there. From the many positive comments regarding the tournament,
we will schedule another scramble sometime next year.

7/14/07 Luana Hills Golf Tournament Recap
What a day!!! Claimed by one to be like a walk in Jurassic Park. The course
had it way with most of us. There were some highlights in the midst of
the agony and suffering through intermittent rain and tall magnetic grasses
and ravines and narrow fairways; Pastor Sim almost posted a hole in one
when he hit the pin on the par 3 7th hole, he settled for a birdie; John
Frauens sank an estimated 40 foot put on his last hole of the day for a
par; Jim Hickerson chipped in for his par on the Par 5 13th hole; Norm
Black posted his best round ever with the PGA and on a most difficult course.
I know there must be other successes enjoyed but those are the ones I either
witnessed or got reports on. Thanks to all 23 players for your courageous
efforts and your perseverance.
First place: Howard Ashford, net 70 (second time winner this year)
Second place: Norm Black, net 73.
Third place: Lucinda Pyles, net 79.
Other top 10 finishers: Ken Roberts; John Ball; John Frauens; Jack Bohman;
Bruce Patterson; Buddy Gendrano; Jim Becker.

Don’t miss our first ever PGA event at our new home course, sign
up Now for Koolau. If you have never played Koolau this is your chance
to see how beautiful the toughest golf course in the nation really is.
Below is the 18th fairway, probably one of the toughest holes in the
nation to par. www.koolaugolfclub.com is a link you can actually take
a tour of all 18 holes if you like. Once you open the website click on
Golf in the upper left part of the picture.
We have
10 tee times (40 Players) and would love to make this be our biggest
turnout ever. This tournament will be a shotgun start, 4 person scramble,
2 putt maximum format. Shotgun means we will all be starting and finishing
about the same time; scramble means every person hits a drive as normal
and then it is decided by your team which ball will be used to play
your next shot from, repeating this process thru putting. The 2 putt
max means once the team has a ball on the green, each member will putt
from the same location, if no one makes the putt then you pick up and
count the 2nd putt as a one stroke gimme. Each member of the team may
be required to contribute a minimum of 2 drives to their team. Each
team’s handicap is based on the combined total handicap of the
4 players times 10%, for example if your team has a 13, a 20 , a 27 and
a 38 handicap, your team handicap will be 98 times 10% = 9.8. The team
handicap will be deducted from your team’s gross score to record
your team’s net score. I will try to design the teams to be as
equal as possible. The sooner you sign up the easier it will be for me
to start putting teams together. I will separate normally paired
husbands and wives, fathers and sons, etc.. in order to establish teams.
Hopefully I will be able to include a lady in each team to take advantage
of some of the tee box locations on some holes.
Each player should purchase 2 mulligans for $5 which can be used at any
time. The money collected from the mulligan sales will be distributed
back as prizes for various results yet to be determined. Mulligan’s
can not be shared with other team members. Maximum handicappers do not
get mulligans unless they buy them for this tournament.
Closest to the pin will remain an individual challenge, mulligans can
not be used to claim closest to the pin honors.
A handout will be provided with the final guidelines on the day of the
tournament.
And as an added bonus, Jay Jarman has told me he will be providing a
plethora of golf balls that he has collected over time for everyones
use. Do Not Worry about bring a lot of golf balls.
Next Tournament: Saturday 8-11-07 at Koolau Golf Club- Check-in with
me before 6:45 AM
Below are the names I believe to have confirmed or expressed regrets.
Please review and let me know if any of this is incorrect. If you are
not on one of these lists please let me know whether you will or will
not be able to play. Guests are welcome but you may not be playing on
the same team with your guest. Anyone inviting a guest must vouch for
their handicap.

Pearl CC Golf Tournament Recap
A challenging course proved to be that and more with very poor aerated
greens. I would guess all the scores could have been 3+ strokes less with
better green conditions. If you would like to hear more about the greens
talk with Admiral Van, his experiences were well articulated at the 19th
hole as he waited to collect his closest to the pin award. We had a smaller
group of 24, however blessed by 3 guests thanks to Ted Otaguro.
One of the guests was Shayna Kusumoto’s husband David. Shayna is
the web guru that posts these updates and keeps the FPC website up to date.
David brought his brother-in-law Darren Nakamoto and another friend Randahl
Matsuno.
Despite the course conditions I had a special time witnessing Jay Jarman’s
proclamation of his worst hole ever shortly after scoring 2 birdies on
holes 1 and 2. I won’t say more other than his graceful attitude
through it all was quite admirable. Rumors from her playing partners, seems
Anne Frauens did quite well despite the green conditions making several
putts claimed to be 20’ or more.
First place: Ron Mathieu, net 70; 4th time winner.
Second place: Shawn Ball, net 73 also with low gross of 86.
Third place: Jim Becker; net 74.
CTP’s: Jack Bohman, 3 & 6; Van Alford 13; and Gary Harms 16.
Birdies: Jay Jarman 1 & 2; Jack Bohman 3; Tom Stirling 16. (if you
got a birdie and your name is not on this list, please notify me)

Royal Kunia Golf Tournament Recap
Record
turnout for the PGA, 34 counting me even though I did not play
due to a rotator cuff concern which is now much improved thanks
to healing prayer offered by wonderful Gerri Otaguro. We had a
gorgeous day and a strong showing by the gals; The results are
a bit interesting because I bent the rules in hope of forgiveness.
DuWayne Worthington has been a member of the PGA from our inception but with
small children has had difficulty getting free on Saturdays. In four years DuWayne
has played in only 9 tournaments. DuWayne and family will be relocating to Colorado
in a couple of months. Because this tournament would be his only and last tournament
in 2007 I waived his 2007 dues, which he was prepared to pay. Naturally he gets
a net score of 65 and cards a birdie on the 5th hole. So, in recognition for
DuWayne’s loyalty to the PGA and in fairness to those who have paid dues
you can see the shared results below.
First place: Lee Bassett, net 64; second time winner.
Second place: Gerri Otaguro; net 67 and DuWayne Worthington; net 65.
Third place: Ted Otaguro; net 69.
CTP’s: Ted Otaguro & DuWayne Worthington, 5; Mike Carr, 8; Shawn Ball,
13; Bobbie Merrill, 17. (Bobbie also shot well and placed 6th.
Birdies: DuWayne Worthington, 4; Jim Hickerson, 10; Vic Copeland, 18; (if you

Mililani Golf Tournament Recap
Hope
everyone enjoyed a loving Valentines Day, the Koolau Catering Valentines
Dinner was fantastic; Ted says they will be repeating the experience
for Mother’s
day so if you did not get to go last night you might want to consider the Mothers
Day dinner which may be on the Saturday evening before Mother’s
Day.
Much thanks to John Pyles for collecting and scoring the cards at Mililani while
I was enjoying the Pro Bowl. The picture attached is our son Joe, wife Debbie
and little James, all die hard Denver Bronco fans. The AFC won and that made
it a great game for us. Also attached is a great email I received from TY Young
with some funny golf stuff. Be sure to scroll all the way down to enjoy the cartoon
representing our PGA name.
Players had a good day of golf in Mililani without me, beautiful weather, a great
turnout of 27 players even with the Pro Bowl distraction. Mililani played tough
with only 2 players netting their handicaps and scoring par. I have the prize
monies for the first, second and third place finishers; remind me when you see
me.
First place: Howard Ashford; net 72 won via a tie breaker.
Second place: Jack Bohman; net 72 – another top ten finish for
Jack; he is 2 for 2 this year.

Coral Creek Golf Tournament Recap
Hey everybody……Happy New Year!
It has been
a great year capped off at Coral Creek, our first tournament at this
course as we complete our 4th year. We finished strong with a turnout
of 30 players. We averaged almost 27 players per tournament and that
includes the November tournament of only 16 players. Our membership
is strong at over 50 players. There are not many golf groups on Oahu
that can tout that kind of membership.
The course
played tough with only two players able to shoot their handicaps and
score a net 72. Last years PGA Player of the year, John Frauens managed
a first place finish over his good friend Jay Jarmanusing the tiebreaking
score on the first hole. Third place went to Jack Bohman (net 73),
his third time this year to finish third.
CTP’s: Ken Roberts 2;
Arlene Bohman, 6; George Fujiwara, 10; Jim Hickerson, 12.
Birdies: John Frauens & George Fujiwara, 3; Jim Hickerson, 12; Ty

Hawaii Prince Golf Tournament Recap
Most
of you know by now that this was a special event; again by God’s
grace this tournament and my okole were saved from disaster when I
discovered on Friday the 10th that our tournament had been rescheduled
to the 11th from the 18th back in January of this year but mysteriously
forgotten by your chairman. The response to my plea for help was fantastic,
we ended up with 16 players and the Hawaii Prince Golf Course was graciously
understanding and pleasant to work with. We were not assessed any monetary
penalties, in fact it was never even mentioned. Our turnout was supported
by 4 very special people, our guests; Ron Mathieu invited his sister
and brother in law, Diane and David Thibault who have recently relocated
from Rhode Island to Hawaii. Because they are not officially members
of the PGA (yet) they were not eligible to receive the large jackpots
associated with the first 3 place finishers, however, both turned in
the best scores of the tournament; David (gross 81; net 69); Diane
(gross 89; net 71). David was given the right to select our charity
distribution as the official low net score because even our guests
contribute to the charity fund; he selected Windward Spouse Abuse.
Ron also contacted Kirk Leavy who comes to FPC. Kirk and his wife Vicki
are now members of the PGA. Kirk joined us on short notice and managed
a 3rd place finish including a birdie. Tom Stirling made some calls
and brought his long time friend Earl Takaoka; Earl has played with
us twice previously and we really appreciate him helping us out on
this occasion.
Other angels besides those mentioned above that God sent to my rescue
were Jim Becker; Bill Sheehan; John Pyles; John Ball; Jack & Arlene
Bohman; and Brad & Lee
Bassett. We all enjoyed a blessed day, and it truly validated the truth
that God loves me in spite of my shortcomings. My apologies to all those
who were hoping to play on the 18th.
First place: John Pyles; Net 72. This is John’s second time to
win.
Second place: Brad Bassett; Net 75 won a tie breaker with our newest
member Kirk Leavy by carding a par 4 on the first hole
Third place: Kirk Leavy; Net 75 using the Callaway Handicap System
Other Par or better scores: Oops, none to report other than David & Diane
noted above.
CTP’s: Jim Becker C3; Jack Bohman, C6; Bill Sheehan, A3; Ron Mathieu
A6.
Birdies: Kirk Leavy A3; Brad Bassett & Jim Becker A5; Bruce Patterson
C3; David Thibault C9.
Honorable Mention: Brad & Lee Bassett, Tom Stirling and Earl Takaoka
all scored a par 3 on the back nine third hole (A3). This foursome included
elders, deacons and a retired pastor so it must be true. With handicaps
ranging from 16 to 35 this is a notable result.
Next Tournament: Saturday 12/9/06 at Coral Creek (I have confirmed this)
Check-in with me before 7:25 AM
