Tenebrae Service on Maundy Thursday
 March 29, 2018 07:30pm

maundy thursday

March 29, Thurs, 7:30 PM, Sanctuary

Come to this contemplative Maundy Thursday service called Tenebrae Service. Tenebrae means ”shadows” or “darkness,” where part of the service involves the gradual extinguishing of candles to symbolize the events of that week from Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday through His burial on Friday.
There will be Scripture readings tracing the story of Christ’s sacrifice for us; music that will help us think about His suffering; and meditations through the personal experiences of people from the First Prez ‘ohana that will add meaning to the passages read.
Come and bring a friend.
Childcare available for children 5 years old or younger.
