What does it really mean to grow more like Jesus?
Pastor and author Pete Scazzero writes that we can’t become spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature. Our spiritual health and emotional health are deeply connected, and Jesus wants to be Lord over all of it.
Over the next eight weeks, we’ll be on a new sermon series called EMOTIONALLY HEALTHY SPIRITUALITY. We’ll explore what it looks like to mature emotionally as followers of Christ.
This series isn’t simply about becoming psychologically healthier. It’s about bringing our whole selves (our fears, anger, desires, disappointments, wounds, worries, and anxieties) under the loving lordship of Jesus.
Let’s get to know ourselves more honestly. Let’s deal with our stuff. And let’s allow Jesus to restore and transform us as we grow more and more like him.
