The 547 Project

THe 547 Project

WHAT IS THE 547 PROJECT?

The 547 Project is an appeal to raise $547,000 for the renovation and launch-related expenses of a First Prez satellite campus in Honolulu. The number “547” represents the address of the site: 547 Halekauwila St, Honolulu. The number also relates to Psalm 54:6-7, which is about gratitude to the Lord: “With a freewill offering I will sacrifice to You; I will give thanks to Your name, O Lord, for it is good. For He has delivered me from every trouble.”

WATCH PASTOR DAN TALK ABOUT THE VISION FOR THE 547 PROJECT AND OUR NEW SATELLITE CAMPUS.

HOW LONG WILL THE 547 PROJECT RUN?

WHERE IS THE SATELLITE CAMPUS?

  • It’s at 547 Halekauwila Street in Kaka’ako. We’ll be leasing six rooms in the 2-story building called the Halekauwila Plaza.

The St. Nick Project

Christmas cards

The St. Nick Project is a service project of our youth ministry where we assemble care packages and deliver them to the homeless on the evening of Dec 22, just as St. Nick was believed to have delivered gifts to the poor. The St. Nick Project motto: "To those whom God loves, from those who love God."

The purpose of the Project is to show those who are recognized as a problem––the homeless and the destitute in Hawaii––that there are people who care about them deeply as God’s children who have been beautifully and wonderfully made.

HELP BY DONATING THESE ITEMS FOR THE CARE PACKAGES:

  • Travel packs of wet wipes
  • Travel packs of sunscreen
  • Canned tuna
  • Apple sauce, pudding cups, or fruit cups
  • Raisins/dried fruits
  • Chewy granola bars Chips (single-serve bags)
  • Individually bagged candies

SCHEDULE OF THE ST. NICK PROJECT

  • Dec 21, Friday, 5 PM-9 PM = prayer and worship, sandwich-making, towel prep, and sock prep
  • Dec 22, Saturday, 4 PM- approximately midnight = final package preps, prayer time, delivery of care packages to homeless communities

We also need to borrow trucks! If you have a truck and are willing to drive us from about 9PM-midnight on Sat, Dec 22, we would greatly appreciate it. Email us at youth@fpchawaii.org, if you can help.

Thank you!
